We’re delighted to be shortlisted for three prestigious CIPR PRide Awards (Anglia Thames and Chiltern)!
Our campaign for the travel arm of the Royal British Legion, Remembrance Travel, has been shortlisted for Best Consumer Campaign and Best Not-for-Profit Campaign at the CIPR PRide Awards. We’re very proud to work on this PR campaign and it has proved very successful. More D Day veterans than ever before have headed back to the Normandy beaches in a pilgrimage of remembrance. We were also shortlisted for ‘Best Event’ for our experiential marketing campaign with pizza giant, Papa John’s. Here we re-created the UK’s favourite pizza, a pepperoni, out of jumpers for Papa John’s support of Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day. The ‘Jumper Pizza’ went on a tour of the UK and stopped off at Manchester, Edinburgh, Bristol and London. Thanks to the tour tens of thousands of potential customers got the chance to trial the pizza, donate their jumpers to Save the Children, and pose for a selfie by the jumper pizza. Hilary Collins, Founder and Managing Director, Big Wave PR says: “We’re thrilled to be shortlisted for three major gongs! The team has worked extremely hard and I’m delighted that their creativity, tenacity and expertise has been recognised.”
This year CIPR PRide received over 950 entries, and over 300 public relations teams have been shortlisted. Last year we won Best Consumer Campaign and also picked up a Silver for Best Not-for-Profit Campaign at the ceremony. The winners of the CIPR PRide 2017 Awards will be announced on 28 September at The Guildhall, Cambridge. To discover more about the CIPR PRide Awards, visit www.cipr.co.uk.
