Big Wave PR Shortlisted for Hat Trick of Awards

By: BW-Hilary

We’re celebrating being shortlisted for three CIPR PRide Awards (Anglia, Thames and Chiltern) for our campaign with the Royal British Legion.

Shortlisted for a hat trick of awards!

We’ve been shortlisted for Best Consumer, Best Event and Best Not-for-Profit Campaign at the CIPR PRide Awards. The awards celebrate our work with the travel arm of the Royal British Legion, Remembrance Travel. Our campaign for Remembrance Travel has been so successful that more D Day veterans than ever before have headed back to the Normandy in a pilgrimage of remembrance. In early 2018 the government also widened the tours to allow all veterans of WWII to travel back. Tours are now being created to take hundreds of WWII veterans back to where they served on a journey of remembrance.

Hilary Collins, Founder and Managing Director, Big Wave PR, says: “This is an amazing result! We’ve won best consumer award for the past three years in a row. So, to be shortlisted for this award again, and two others, is a big achievement. The team has worked extremely hard and I’m delighted that their creativity, passion and skill has yet again been recognised.”

She continued: “We all love working on this account. It is such an honour to talk to these amazing veterans. We’re passionate to help all veterans of WWII ‘lay old ghosts to rest’. Our drive to spread the word about these tours cannot be matched.”

All winners of the CIPR PRide 2018 Awards will be announced at a gala awards event on 15 November at The Guildhall, Cambridge. Last year Big Wave PR won two gold and one silver at the awards.

What did we do?

Over the past 12 months we’ve created a fundraising rugby match, visited France and Italy, as well as hitting the headlines with our media campaign. If you would like to find out more about what we do for the Royal British Legion, why not read our interesting case study –
