It was a very heartwarming event when two Big Wave PR clients, Tutti Grille and Caring Homes, got together to create a treat for young and old in Braintree, Essex.
Schoolchildren from Alec Hunter Humanities College, Braintree joined forces with the residents of Caring Homes’ Bradbury House Care Home and took inspiration from the Great British Bake Off to create yummy Christmas puds together at Tutti Grille at Freeport Braintree on 2 December.
The schoolchildren and care home residents were taught how to make the perfect Xmas pud by Tutti’s Head Chef. Once the Christmas puddings were cooked to perfection they were handed over to the care home residents to take back to Bradbury House for all residents and colleagues to enjoy.
Managing Director of Tutti Grille, Rob Reeley, thought it would be a good idea to give the children and care home residents a special day together in the lead up to Christmas. He says: “We are an award winning family restaurant and the idea of giving the children experience in a professional kitchen and interacting and utilising the skill set of the residents really appealed to us. It will also be great for the people of Bradbury House to be around so many children at this time of year and to share their traditions and knowledge. ”
Jolene Anderson, Home Manager, Bradbury House, says: “Our residents really enjoyed taking part in this extra special cookery lesson. The children were wonderful with our residents and everyone had a lovely time. We would like to thank Tutti Grille for making this happen”.
