The 3foot People Festival, Hylands Park, Chelmsford, Essex (30 June, 1 & 2 July 2015), is celebrating its 10th birthday by inviting all 14,000 ticket holders to join them in learning an extra special song composed by Glastonbabies for their animal carnival.
At the end of each day (3pm) festival-goers will be invited to dress up as their favourite animal and sing The 3foot People Festival Anthem! Ticket holders are encouraged to download the song free from YouTube learn the words, and get ready to party for the biggest outdoor event for pre-schoolers in the UK.
Adam Amor from Glastonbabies said: “We have had so much fun writing and composing the festival anthem. The feedback has been great and we can’t wait to be performing and leading the parades each day at The 3foot People Festival.”
The 3foot People Festival is an award winning event (Best Event 2014 Essex Mums, Best Festival 2014 Essex Tourism and Hospitality Awards, Best Outdoor Event 2014 Runner Up Primary Times Star Awards) curated especially for pre-school children. This year the festival will feature Glastonbabies, a giant sandpit, All Star Mini Kickers, Baby Ballet, Little Stars Theatre, Arnolds Big Adventure, Garlic Theatre, Baby Ballet, Get Ready Club, Jo Jingles and a whole host more!
Liam Rich, Cultural Events Manager, Chelmsford City Council says: “It has been an exciting journey to see how the people of Essex and further afield have taken The 3foot People Festival to their hearts. It’s a great achievement for all of the team and we’re delighted to be celebrating 10 years.”
He continued: “This year we are encouraging festival-goers – children and adults – to get into the festival spirit and dress up as their favourite animal, whether that be just a mask, face paints, monkey T-shirt or full tiger costume! At the end of the day The 3foot People anthem will be a wonderful celebration of the festival and will be great fun for all to join in.”
The 3foot People Festival has now sold out and is produced by the Cultural Events Team at Chelmsford City Council, with support from Seymour House Day Nurseries, High Chelmer Shopping Centre, 1159 Productions, Essex & Suffolk Water, Essex Chronicle, The Printing Place, Linden Homes, Fundamentally Children, Playmobil, BBC Essex, Sshhh Events, Dancing Giraffe and Chelmsford The City Times.
